What is Mezzanine Lab (M9lab)?

The idea, born as a game by Stefano Ferrara and Luca Fragiacomo, gradually came to life. The goal we set ourselves is to automate an entire Lego© rail diorama, including docks, interchanges and traffic lights using the technology offered by Arduino®. To achieve it we had to look for a place large enough to be able to assemble our first diorama, after a long search we found a loft for rent that allowed us to embark on this adventure that takes the name of Mezzanine Lab.

Found the right place (a mezzanine), we started to develop ideas to be able to realize a project that combined the passion for Lego trains with that for Arduino.
Once we understand the feasibility we embarked on our first project called “TrenIno“: a railway diorama, obviously in Lego©, entirely managed by Arduino® through mobile device.
